Aly Joins Fox Comedy “Rebounding”

Hellcats star Aly Michalka has been cast in Fox’s single-camera comedy pilot Rebounding. The 20th TV project, written by Joe Port and Joe Wiseman and directed by Jason Winer, is an uplifting comedy about Danny, a man recovering from the death of his fiancé with the help of the idiots on his pickup basketball team. Michalka, repped by CAA and Prospect Park, will play the girlfriend of one of Danny’s friends. I am so exicted to see this news! Can’t wait to see Aly in this NEW upcoming project! Congrats Aly! What is everyone’s thoughts on this?

Stars To Get Lucky For Lupus LA At Celebrity Charity Event.

On Thursday, September 22, Hollywood’s hottest will be taking over the rooftop of the Petersen Automotive Museum to “Get Lucky for Lupus LA!”

Young Hollywood celebrities, athletes, musicians and VIPs will ante up to support Lupus LA at the poker tournament. Guests will enjoy an evening of mixing, mingling and poker playing while overlooking the fabulous Hollywood Hills.

The “Get Lucky for Lupus LA!” celebrity poker tournament and party will also include a silent auction with unique and priceless memorabilia from stars of sports, music, TV and film, a customized photo booth, celebrity deejay and MC, hors d’oeuvres and cocktails, music and fun.

Variety ‘Long Time Gone’ Article.

EXCLUSIVE: “Hellcats” star Aly Michalka, model-turned-actor Travis Fimmel and “Californication” thesp Madeline Zima have joined the cast of Smokewood Entertainment’s “Long Time Gone.”

“Precious” producer Sarah Siegel-Magness makes her directorial debut with the pic, which stars Meg Ryan as a woman who suffers a nervous breakdown after her cheating husband leaves her. Zach Gilford and Graham Rogers co-star as her two sons who, along with the latter’s live-in girlfriend (Amanda Crew), attempt to comfort Ryan in her time of need.

Michalka will play Janine, a local girl who went to high school with Rogers and finds herself attracted to him despite being a few years older.

Fimmel will play Jeff, an intelligent Grateful Dead fan who sells pot to Rogers, while Zima will play Annie, an earnest hippie who works at a food co-op and gets fixed up with Gilford.

Karen McCullah (“The House Bunny”) wrote the script, which is based on April Stevens’ novel “Angel, Angel.” Scribe will also produce with Bobbi Sue Luther and Gary Magness, while Andrew Sugerman and Seth Jaret will exec produce.

Production will start next month in Los Angeles.

Aly Michalka is coming by the studio today to record vocals for her walk on role on CSI for the upcoming season. You may have seen her on the CW’s Hellcats or as “Rhiannon” in the movie “Easy A”. She’ll be singing 2 covers on the show and DIGITAL SONS is going to be her backing band on the episode! Look for me on the drums donned in punk rocker couture, I’ll repost when the episode airs this fall, stay tuned.

Aly Michalka to appear on ‘CSI: NY’.

Aly Michalka — best known for her starring role in the CW’s short-lived cheer drama Hellcats — has snagged a guest role on CSI: NY next fall. The young actress will play a hard rocker named Miranda in the series, which returns to CBS on Sept. 23.

Here’s the description: She’s a rocker who “explodes onto the stage of New York’s hottest underground clubs.” (Yep, Michalka sings!) Her character is questioned by the CSI team when the guy she’s been dating is found murdered.

Her episode will air Sept. 30. Michalka’s credits also include Easy A and the TV series Phil of the Future.
